Our school is situated in the rural village of Peasmarsh, near to Rye. The present school was built by the Church in 1844, although there has been a school in the village since 1841. Our pupils mainly come from the village and its surrounding farms and hamlets.
The school comprises of four classrooms, a large hall, art room, library, smaller learning rooms and administrative offices. We are very fortunate to have a large field which is used throughout the year as much as possible. The field also includes 2 adventure courses and football pitches. There is a hard surfaced area of playground adjoining the school which contains benches, markings for playground games and a netball court. We have a Forest School, including a pond area, which provides excellent opportunities for outdoor learning and is an established part of school life.
In May 2018 we were rated 'Good' by Ofsted and in May 2017 we were judged Outstanding in our SIAMS inspection.
.
Our school is an active member of Rye EIP (Education Improvement Partnership) which works closely with Rother EIP. The schools within these groups work together and share training as well as resources. We have strong links with Peasmarsh parish church which comes under the Diocese of Chichester. Flying Start Pre-School is based on site. We work closely with the pre-school to support transition to the Reception class.
