About Us

Our school is situated in the rural village of Peasmarsh, about four miles north-west of Rye.  The present school was built by the Church in 1844, although there has been a school in the village since 1841.  Our pupils mainly come from the village and its surrounding farms and hamlets.

The school comprises of four classrooms, a large hall, music room, art room, library, a quiet room and administrative offices.  We are very fortunate to have a large field which is used throughout the year as much as possible. The field also includes 2 adventure courses and football pitches. There is also hard surfaced area of playground adjoining the school which contains benches, markings for playground games and a netball court. We  have a Forest School, including a pond area, which provides excellent opportunities for outdoor learning adn is an established part of school life.

Our school is a member of the Rye Area Primary Schools Cluster Group, which comprises of eight local primary schools and Rye College.  As a church school we have strong links with the Peasmarsh parish church and attend services there.

Flying Start Pre-School is based on site.  We work closely with the pre-school to support transition to the Reception class.
