What was it like in WW2?

The children in Dragonflies class welcomed the visitors who came to talk about experiences in WW2. Mr Loader told the children about his evacuation and how his school was bombed. Although he was injured, the photograph shows him running with his friends shortly after the bombing. He answered lots of questions about what life was like at that time.

Mrs Smart's mum told the children about some of the experiences that her father had in France during the war and his escape over the mountains and from a prison camp. The children saw photos of the medals that he earned for his country.

We are very thankful to our visitors for the time that they spent talking to the children and answering their questions.
