British Values

We  learn about British values in many different ways including:

  • A geography curriculum that covers global citizenship
  • An R.E  curriculum that teaches about the beliefs and practices of all major religious groups

At Peasmarsh we try to prepare our pupils for life in Modern Democratic Britain. We learn about the rich diversity of people within our country.

We have British Values that form the foundation of this learning and link into our Christian values. This allows for rich discussion and questioning about our identities and beliefs, how we treat others and how we expect to be treated ourselves. We take our responsibility to promote community cohesion, generate a respect for difference and individual rights seriously.

School Council

We have an active school council that is a result of a democratic process within school. Members are voted for by their peers and one pupil from each year group forms the school council. The council are responsible for putting forward the views of other pupils as well as having responsibilities to carry out during the year. This will involve meeting governors and visitors as well as promoting different aspects of school life.
